The best train ride ever.

This makes me happy. Stop-motion urban-pastoral landscapes by DaBrainkilla to such clean, clear music. If you listen, you will understand that clean and clear is the most accurate way to describe what’s going on here. Please ignore the association with less exciting things like acne-fighting medicine.

This vid, composed of 4500 photos, is like grabbing the window seat on a magic school bus. Or a really awesome commuter rail. I would prefer all of my morning commutes to look and feel like this.

HOMESICK

Insomnia is so good for doodling, so bad for pretty much everything else. Also, I have an unjustifiable enthusiasm for drawing squid…… this isn’t even the most of it.

Nested boats.

I scanned these images from an old library book, The Magic of Paper Sculpture.  The artist, Catherine Nash, creates work that explores the solitude and silence of the natural world.

From the creation of the paper to the gluing of handmade leaves, there’s something about the process images that really captures the intuitive nature of the artwork itself. Or maybe I just really like the wooden mallet. Could be that too.

I have a crush on Lykke Li.

How could I not?  I’ve been listening to this song on repeat for the past week.

Lykke Li – Possibility

Please watch the video. It’ll improve your life by at least a little bit.
